Jim's Response to Sabrina's "Treehuggers"

Scott and Dina, along with Scott’s 13 year old brother Ethan, and his 10 year old sister Maddie are at the Treehuggers Music Festival up in the wilds of West Virginia. The atmosphere is described as liberal, with “no boundaries, just good times.” Scott and Dina tried to sell Jello shots at the festival to cover their expenses but the shots weren’t selling. Ethan tried taking some of them down to the crowd, and was having much better luck selling them, but someone reported him to the property owner. They all got thrown out of the festival for letting a minor sell alcohol, and had to go home two days early.

This reminds me of some of the outdoor concerts I went to back in the 70s. It’s a good story with all of the elements you would expect to see. Scott, the slightly undependable main character wanted to sell the Jello shots, but failed to realize that it was illegal for 13 year old Ethan to sell them. So he clearly had a learning experience. Additional characters were sufficiently described, such as the property owner. “He was a short, stocky guy with long brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.” The whole story worked well for me. I don’t see a thing I would change.
